What is the police′s role?

This essay (observational/interview essay/reflection) will be 2-3-pages in length, on the experience that the student has during an observation of some part of the law enforcement system or an interview with someone in the juvenile justice system or criminal justice system either one who works in system or who has experienced interaction with law enforcement. You can also choose to share your own experience with law enforcement or how someone in your family of friends and what your reflection. Must include the following answers: What are some of the causes of police mistrust? thoughts on the current law enforcement system? how can we reform the current law enforcement system? are we effective in the law enforcement, why or why not? Do you trust the police, why or why not? What is the police′s role? Are the police doing an appropriate job in your community, why or why not? Is police brutality an issue? Also, depending on who you interview or observed, you will add your own questions and write about it. You can interview anyone who works in the law enforcement system, or has experienced law enforcement, or you can reflect on your own experience or family/friend experience with the police. You can also write about your experiences on a ride along.
