Accounting Theory & History.

This essay looks at 5 different papers (that I will provide) about Accounting theory and history. A summary of each paper should be provided before critically discussing each paper in relation to the essay question. The essay question is: “Throughout society, the influence of accounting permeates fundamental issues concerning wealth distribution, social justice, political ideology, and environmental degradation” (Baker and Bettner, 1997, p.293). Choose 5 of the 6 papers to summarise and critically analyse the role of accounting in these areas as they are portrayed in each paper.
