The aim of this coursework is to design a sustainable flood embankment by minimising the cradle-to-site carbon dioxide emissions from the earthworks. Each team must design a flood embankment compliant with the dimensional constraints, estimate the time required for the opening of the cycling and pedestrian path and select the optimal material to construct the embankment in order to minimise its embodied CO2.
