Students will analyze trends in inflation and unemployment and means such as core inflations or the natural rate of unemployment using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. b. Students are expected to understand the relationships between unemployment and inflation from general scatter plot such as negative and positive trends. And in the case of the Phillips Curve recognize that the theoretical relationship has been questioned based on US experience. Provide a critical analysis of the Phillips Curve. Due: April 21, 11:59pm OR Question 2: Students will discuss the relationship between government revenue, spending and deficits. All graphs and charts are provided in the file Student Project 2 a. Interpret the results of government spending (expenditure) pointing to arguments for and against the deficit and possible solutions.
